Island Hopper Songwriter Fest Coming to Beach

Live music is the heart that beats out the background rhythm of life on Fort Myers Beach. With more than 20 pubs and restaurants offering free live music, our residents and visitors have come to associate a trip to the beach with great music.
The beach music scene will get a special twist come October when the Island Hopper Songwriter Fest brings songwriters to our shores.
The Lee County Visitor and Convention Bureau (VCB) along with festival partners, Clear Channel Media and BMI hosted a preview party for area media last week to introduce the Island Hopper Fest, presenting two-Nashville area songwriters. To read more:  http://www.islandsandpaper.com/teaser1.asp

Historic Ship to Make Port on Beach

One year after the Lynx privateer ship established Fort Myers Beach as its winter port, an even older replica ship with perhaps a more historic pedigree will be making an official entry to Estero Island. The Nao Victoria -an exact replica of Ferdinand Magellan's ship that was the first to sail around the globe on a three year, 42,000 mile voyage from 1519 to 1522- will make the Beach its first stop in a nationwide tour when it arrives at the marina docks near Nervous Nellie's Crazy Waterfront Eatery on Thursday, Feb. 13. LOVE AT LOVERS KEY -
5TH ANNUAL VOW RENEWAL CEREMONY
10am or 3pm. Couples are invited to join a special vow renewal ceremony.
Both ceremonies will include a champagne toast, horsd'oeuvres,
coffee, cake and desserts, socializing, photo as well as a special gift and door
prizes. $75 per couple, all going to the Friends of Lovers Key. To
