Town Gears Up for the Fourth of July

The Fort Myers Beach Parks and Recreation Department has been in the fast lane of growth and responsibilities since Lee County turned the properties and operations over to the town about 5 years ago. In addition to the core services islanders have come to expect, the P&R staffers have worked hard to expand the facility’s reach into the community through more comprehensive programming, fundraisers, increased rental customers and coordination of efforts at its sites around town - Bay Oaks Recreation Center (BORC), the Community Pool, Newton Park and the Mound House.  To read more:  http://www.islandsandpaper.com/july-4th.aspx
