reFRESH Fort Myers Beach Updates
Contractors for the Town of Fort Myers Beach and Lee County are installing new water main, and sanitary sewer force main, storm drainage, sidewalk and rebuilding roadway on Estero Boulevard from Crescent Street to Madera Road. Two travel lanes are expected to remain open the majority of the project; however, motorists may experience daytime or nighttime one-lane traffic on Estero Boulevard. Flaggers will alternate traffic frequently, but motorists should expect delays. Crews are expected to work Monday through Friday and most Saturdays. Construction will be year-round. This schedule may change due to underground conditions and inclement weather. This week, reFRESH Estero Boulevard crews are scheduled to perform the following activities on Estero Boulevard. The active work zone is from Lani Kai/Avenue C to Strandview Avenue. Motorists should expect travel lanes to be shifted on Estero Boulevard from Lani Kai south to Strandview Avenue. Two travel lanes will remain open the majority of the time; however, intermittent lane closures may be necessary. Motorists should use caution.
